I believe I am still here and growing because of the unconditional love I have received from this people. It is just the goodness of God for putting so many awesome people in the World.

A man who was committed to the betterment of society
he was sincere and cared deeply
A savior who sacrificed everything
unfortunately was shot one morning
A social activist full of empathy
went out of his way to end brutality
His fight was against superstition and ignorance
blinded by fear; between wrong and right, some could not see the difference
The villains were self-proclaimed God men
who took unfair advantage of anybody's faith
He was not afraid of death
he enlightened others and did his best
The murderers who got him killed thought they won
but we won't let it happen
We will not be fooled by con -men and thugs
we won't follow stupid traditions and sacrifice animals
This superhero's work will continue forever
A law to ban superstitions is put in order
Born in a period when patriarchy and casteism was normal
he chose to stand up and make way for moral
While humanity was missing from the society
he brought awareness, impartiality
Making history, he taught everyone the importance of education
he didn't stop there but also architected the constitution
He put an end to practices that were inhumane
made sure there were equal rights for all women
Indian superheroes are real and he was one of the many
self-less, strong, self-made he will live in our hearts for eternity
This dude was way ahead of his time
a beautiful soul whose actions were divine
Just like a good man supports his partner
this literate inspired his wife to be a teacher
He wanted to uplift the deprived and needy
He teamed up with his wife to transform the country
They gave free lessons on how to read and write
ensured everyone understood education was their birth right
He had opposition, obstacles and offenses
but he refused to give up and took chances
Every female in Maharashtra thanks him for his dedication
without him there would be no women's liberation
Like the other superheroes he went out of his way
to make the world a better place he strived every day
